Heather was delighted to have been asked by the prestigious Cambridge Union Society to give a motivational speech as part of Michaelmas 2015.
Heather’s subject matter, based on her drive and determination in life was, “How to overcome adversity and challenge people’s perceptions”.
The Cambridge debating chambers started in 1815 and is pleased to be celebrating it's 200th anniversary of free speech. Heather was honoured to join their list of previous distinguished speakers.
The Union is a charity overseen by a board of trustees but completely run by current Cambridge students on a day-to-day basis. The Cambridge Union Society has more than 65,000 members worldwide.
