The second Vegan Christmas market took place on December 14th and 15th, 2019 in Vienna. It gathered once again exhibitors from different branches from art to food and also on both days a wide range of keynotes from different speakers will take place (e.g. doctors, health consultants, scientists, star cooks, activists or even a pastor and more). So the market offered a wide information platform about veganism in all different aspects. Last year people spent a whole day there not to miss a speech or even came on both days.
Heather attended on Sunday 15th December to open the Vienna Christmas market.
The organizers Suyin and Oliver Orlowski are vegan enthusiasts and have already organized the Vegan Easter market twice in Vienna. They are both ambitious animal rights activists and love to spread the word of a vegan lifestyle.
The purpose of the Christmas market is raising money for the institution Rinderwahnsinn (https://rinderwahnsinn.at), where 50 cows and 12 pigs are living a peaceful life. The farm is led by two loving people who are giving everything for their animals. Of course this means high daily costs for them. The Vegan Christmas market is perfect for raising awareness and money for the animals.
